Senior Year Accountability Blogger
Now that senior year has officially begun, I am planning to make some big changes regarding my academic and personal life.
Firstly, I plan to use notion, a free app to plan and organize my tasks. This could be homework due dates, project deadlines, or something as small as when to throw out the trash. My use of notion will obviously be done outside of school on my own time because of the new statewide no phone policy.
Secondly, I will take more notes. One of the flaws that I realized that I have is my lack of note-taking. I tell myself that I might already know about a certain topic in my mind, but when I am tested on or asked about said topic, I can’t explain as well as I would like to. So, I will try to not only increase my note-taking, but also improve my note-taking. I will try to make my notes not just for memorization, but rather to have a conceptual understanding of the important topics I will learn throughout my senior year. This would be especially helpful for STEM subjects such as calculus.
Lastly, I will be prioritizing my sleep. Since it is my senior year, I already know it will be very hectic, especially during the first semester because of college applications, SAT exams, etc. I will make sure to get at least 7 hours of sleep every day in order to feel rejuvenated. These are not the only things I want to do to stay motivated and focused throughout the year. These are just the ones that I deem the most important.
